19th century walnut campaign style steamer chair. Solid walnut construction with twisted columns and heavily carved crest to the top. A small, low seating folding chair of useable but delicate nature, designed to be light, compact and convenient. Distressed in areas with wear/patina consistant with age and use. I suspect the leather is a later addition as there is evidence of what would have be a caned back.
A very attractive example, better suited for decorative use. Please expect age related imperfections.
